With these developments, travel time is significantly lessened. On the same note, a new project called the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT1) is an extension that will connect Baclaran to the province.

2.) Living next door to the great outdoors

One of the best things about living in Cavite is being located smack dab in the middle of the great city and the great outdoors. Its neighboring towns such Tagaytay, Tres Martires and the like provide an avenue for outdoor activities which everyone in the family can enjoy. If you and your family are particularly fond of swimming and spending some time in the sun, Ternate Beach of Balite Falls are excellent places to visit for a long holiday or a weekend afternoon. Alternatively, if you have a penchant for spectacular and magnificent views and an affinity for hiking, the famous Pico de Loro is one of the nearby trekking options available to you.

3.) Rich history and culture

Metro Manila may be the center of it all, but Cavite is the place where the Philippine Independence was first declared. In this regard, it can be seen that the town of Cavite played a pivotal role in the history of the Philippine Republic. Some of the historic properties you can visit and peruse are the Sangley Point, Bonifacio Memorial Shrine, Aguinaldo Shrine and Corregidor Island.

4.) Various food hubs

Another thing about living in Cavite is getting to try some of the best and most beloved dishes in the country including Tagaytay’s famous bulalo and special buko pie. More importantly, Tagaytay is home to a myriad of homegrown restaurants such as Leslie’s, Breakfast at Antonio’s and Lolo Claro’s Restaurant–all of which you should never pass up the chance of trying.

 

5.) Lesser crowd

The biggest allure of living in Cavite is the fact that you it is much less congested. As it has a much lower population density than Metro Manila, you can expect its public places to be devoid of big crowds. Metro Manila has a density of 19,000 people per square kilometer whereas Cavite has a mass of only 1,950 people per square kilometer according to a 2010 survey. In this regard, public spaces and establishments will have more legroom for you to roam around. More importantly, less population means less pollution and less traffic. As Cavite has fewer vehicles than Metro Manila, it is a prime spot and an ideal environment for growing a family.

Indeed, while choosing between the slow-paced life in the country and the rapid career advancement in the city can be a difficult decision, know that provinces such as Cavite, you can have the best of both worlds.
